Vocal Noise Reduction for Schools and Auditoriums
For many years acoustic engineers have believed the best approach to closed space acoustics is to absorb or dampen everything that the human ear can hear. Carpet the walls.. We now know that this is an outdated approach.

A-weighted sound readings, which weight the noise recorded based on what we hear, is masking what the real problem is. Low frequency noise is not picked up clearly by the ear, but is felt by the body and mind, and is responsible for anxiety, stress, restlessness, unease, and increased blood pressure. It is also not easily absorbed by fibrous material, and when it reverberates in a space, it has been proven to be the reason people raise their voices. Remove this low frequency band masking, and the rest falls into place.
The fundamental frequency band of human speech is 80-300Hz. People and their surroundings naturally absorb all other frequencies as the wavelengths are short. There is no need to carpet your walls, and if you do, you are actually damaging your speech intelligibility.
Acoustic ceiling panels and tiles, sound deadening foams, sound proofing foams, and insulation will absorb your high frequency sounds (500 - 4000Hz), which is your speech intelligibility, and leave what your actual problem is, 80-300Hz low frequency vocal noise.
Quiet Acoustic panels do the opposite to everything currently on the market, they will remove your low frequency noise, whilst maintaining your mid to high frequencies They are tuned to vibrate at the problem frequency, cancelling noise reverberation, before it can become a distraction.
Quiet Acoustic panels are the future of acoustics, and to prove it, we are happy to supply you panels on a trial basis, to assess the benefits first hand.
